First step, discuss your concerns with your GP as soon as you have a feeling. if you don't have a great GP, find one, google them, you will need a great team and this is one of the first members.
Whilst we shouldn't always jump on google, when it comes to our kids development it is really helpful to look on sites like health direct, autism awareness and telethon to read some great available information.
Bloggers, support groups, online communities of people going through a story similar to yours, can keep you feeling ok. I have found so much comfort in following the journey of other families who have Autism.

Something I didn't know much about before was how amazing youtube is, how there are so many resources online to help teach you how to practice therapies at home whilst you are waiting for funding or placements.
